The metallic base for the tip and the decorative wiring made of the "maillechort" mixture are first applied by a conventional soldering iron. |

The decoration of the bottle is completed using the same process. |

Once decorated the lamp is threaded. |

The bottle is then cleaned to remove any residue following threading. |

It is then polished to give it a nice finish. |
